Jessica has been recovering from a broken heart for ten years and has now decided to move on. She was only sixteen when she met Mark. They had six weeks to fall in love before they had to say goodbye when his father was transferred to a different Army base, taking his family with him. Although her pain is no longer constant, she has never forgotten him, and has always wondered why his emails stopped coming. She knows part of her will always love him, but has accepted that she can be content without him now.She lives with her widowed sister Jill to help care for her children, and works at an animal rescue center. She has recently become engaged to Blake McCormick, a wealthy rancher. She knows she doesn't love him the same way she loved Mark, but she is comfortable with him, they get along, and he will see that she and her family are taken care of. In another two weeks he will be announcing their engagement at a huge rodeo at the ranch. Although she has a gorgeous engagement ring, her finger had swollen and the ring had not been readjusted yet so it would fit. In a way she dreads the announcement.
It is then that Mark rides Bella, his Honda VFR Interceptor, back into Jessica's life. You'll have to read the book to see what happens next. I thoroughly enjoyed living these weeks with Jessica, her family, and Mark. Strangely enough, my favorite character was Jessica's mother, Clara. Blake turns out to be a fairly minor character, since we see only enough of him to let us glimpse his character. The plot may have been a bit too neat, but I wanted to believe, so I did. Jill's character could have benefited from more depth, but she does a good job of helping us learn more about Jessica. I thoroughly enjoyed the book for light reading, and recommend it to those who like the romance genre because it really is romantic.

Come Find Me edition by Travis Neighbor Ward Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is an enjoyable, page-turning romance -- but it's about more than just what happens under the sheets. The main characters have depth and an arc to their personal stories. The author builds realistic emotional intensity between Jessica and Mark, making them a believable couple, even with the romantic license of a soul-mates-at-birth sub-plot. Amazingly, no one lays so much as kiss upon anyone for the first half of the book, but that makes the story even more (ahem) climactic. A fun read -- I highly recommend!
Come Find Me was an absolute joy to read, once I picked it up it was very hard to put down. Jessica and Mark both grew up in military families, moving with their families every two years. They were together when they were born, even sharing the same crib when Mark was vital signs were failing. They were together again at the age of 16 and it was young love for 6 blissful weeks, when Mark moved again and shortly thereafter both of their fathers were killed in the Iraqi war. Neither one was aware of what the other was going through, and each thought the other had pulled away and forgot them. Flash forward 10 years and Jessica is helping care for her sister's children and engaged to Blake, a seemingly safe (yet slimy) man. Mark has made a promise to his mother to look up Jessica before he continues on his solitary travels. Will they be able to reconnect, or has too much time passed?
It was easy to get caught up into the storyline, the overwhelming feeling I had was one of hope and happiness, even though life dealt the main characters hard blows, they had faith and love. There are some love scenes that are "steamy" (blush worthy, but very tasteful!). I would recommend this novel to anyone that loves a great romance. I'm really looking forward to reading more by this author!
When I first started reading the story, I became doubtful. However, the more I read, the more involved I became.
I loved Jessica and Mark and hated Blake with a passion. I loved the small-town setting and all that goes with everyone getting into everyone else's business.
The author provided just enough background for the reader to get a handle on how the two met, got together and their lives in between, without being redundantly boring. As a reader, I laughed, cried, got angry and rallied for the truth to prevail.
I also enjoyed learning something about those who rescue others in military missions.
I love reading a love scene that doesn't make me feel like I'm in the bed with the characters. Well done! The story is so believable that I can imagine it taking place in any community in which there is a wealthy family who thinks they can control everyone else. Great storytelling!
There were some proofreading errors (ones most writers make when they proofread their own work), but they were not distracting enough to take away from the storyline.
